Mariel Rodriguez of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 and the show per se

Mariel Rodriguez is one of the hosts of the controversial and popular reality TV show here in the Philippines- Pinoy Big Brother. Now she's been inside the house for weeks and it is said that she will be called as a Celebrity House Guest. 4 house guests namely Toni Gonzaga (also one of hosts who stayed inside the house for 5 days), Kris Aquino (who cooked carbonara for the housemates), Angel Locsin (played target shooting with the housemates) and lately Akon (who stayed for only approximately 20 minutes only) already went inside and out of the house yet Mariel's still inside the house.

I started a thread about Mariel in Candymag.com/teentalk when she came inside the house. At first, siyempre, excited ako kasi ang alam ko, kwela si Mariel. But as time passes by, nakikilala ng madlang people kung sino siya. Bratty, spoiled, prangka, parang bata, mataray. Iyan naging observation ko sa kanya.

I also find it unfair everything what's going on between big brother and Mariel. Clothes, granting wishes, her "friend", being a spy.

Hindi ba dapat, ang "bida" rito is yung housemates and not the celebrity house guest(s)? Sa primetime being aired in ABS-CBS Channel 2, Mariel ngayon, Mariel after the commercial, Mariel mamaya, abangan si Mariel bukas, si Mariel sa commercial. Ano ba? Hindi na nga namin makilala ng maayos ang ibang housemates dahil kay Mariel. Bakit hindi na nila gawin housemate si Mariel kung ganun rin lang. Another thing, BB said that Mariel will be his spy. What's the use of all those more than 40 cameras inside the house. Bakit hindi na lang ibang housemate ang gumawa ng task niya. I also find her mapapel sa sinabi niya about Victor dati about the 100% bet sa 25-hour sleeping task. She's just a house guest so huwag siyang mag-reklamo

About the clothes thingy, she's free na pumili at humingi pa ng maraming damit and yung ibang housemates, ayun, iyun lang din ang sinusuot. Darn!

About her "friend", obviously, it's Zanjoe Marudo. She said, she keep on denying kung sino man yung friend na iyun. She had an encounter with this guy, she posted his picture in the girl's bedroom, yet the show blurred his picture but obviously, it's Zanjoe. Okay, sige Mariel. Keep on denying, we know naman eh. Bahala ka.

When she went inside the house, she keeps on crying like a 3 year-old child na naiwan ng magulang sa palengke. Just accept the fact that you're inside the house. Oh! and kaya rin pala siya umiiyak nun kasi wala raw siyang clothes. Tsk. Iba talaga kapag laki sa luho.

I'll just wait for her to get of the house. Masyado na kasing matagal na nakatutok ang spotlight sa kanya. =)

Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2

The show ruled by Big brother (Kuya) playing God (pero hindi kayang gayahin). The house has more 40 cameras, every housemate has their own lapel mic.

Marami nang naging controversy about the show, its housemates and even the staff and producers. Habang dumadami ang season ng show, nagiging unfair and dumarami ang twists n nangyayari which makes the show lame as it goes by. Kapag nanonood ka ng show, it's either maiinis ka sa mga nangyayari or ineenjoy mo na lang how you watch the housemates trapped in a house where there's a person with no face dictating almost everything you have to do.

Balik bahay- kung may balik bahay pa, e di sana yung ibang housemates lumabas din kung kailan nila gusto kung alam nilang may chance pang bumalik sa loob ng bahay. Dapat nag-decide ka nang lumabas, huwag ka nang pumasok, masyadong unfair.

Head of Household- may immunity sa nomination and may kakayahang mag-pataw ng automatic nomination sa isang housemate. So kahit labag sa kalooban mo, magbibigay ka. There is time na binigyan pala si Riza Santos ng tip para i-nominate si Gaby dela Merced, dahil may aattendang seminar si Gaby sa America. And ang automatic nomination na ito, pinapakita ang great use of power sa tao.

Commercial- there are tasks na they're doing it for commercial or advertisement ng isang product.

I think PBB makes the housemates' life a bit complicated.

Microbiology

Sabi ni Kuya Jerson (choirmate), "Ah! Si Ma'am Charity.. Oo, matututo kayo dun!" Sa isip-isip ko naman, "Basta terror, matututo at matututo kami, if we'll let and help ourselves learn with the aid of a terror teacher."

Ito na. Our class schedule for Microbiology and Parasitology is MTW (8:00am-10:00am). Wheew! Everyday, may at least isang quiz. Kahit discussion, may recitation, siyempre. That's part of the grading system, ika nga. Minsan, kapag natatawag ako, natitigilan na lang ako, may naiisip akong sagot, pero halu-halo. Nakadagdag pa sa hindi ako makasagot ang kaba ko. One time, napansin ni Ma'am, "Excuse lang ha, pero, kinakabahan ba kayo?" Ahahaha! Natawa na lang ako sa sarili ko, at napangiti. =) Siyempre sagot namin opo. Hanggang lumaon, ayos naman, maganda ang discussion, ang dami kong natututunan, lalo na ang pagiging maselan sa lahat ng bagay.

Since 2nd semester ng 2nd year college, maselan na ako. Makati, marumi, konting talsik ng unknown object, malagkit, nabasa, name it! Lahat may katapat na alcohol. Halos naliligo na nga ako sa alcohol eh. Minsan, pinagtatawanan na lang ako ng friends ko sa kung paano or kung gaano ako karami maglagay. Hmm.. Ganun talaga. Lalo na't lahat ng bagay contains microorganisms na pwede tayong magkasakit.

Let's go back to the topic...

So iyun nga. Mahirap kasi kapag nagkasakit. Kanina, tinuro ni Ma'am Charity and 3 types of hosts: Definitive, intermidiate and susceptible host. Definitive host, halimbawa, ikaw may capillariasis (worms), you defecate sa toilet bowl, pero rito sa example ko, sa dagat ka nag-defecate. Ngayon, yung egg ng worm, makakain ng fish at sa tiyan ng fish mabubuhay ang worm. Ngayon, ako kumain ng raw fish flesh na carrier ng worm. So, ikaw and definitive host, si fish and intermidiate host, at ako ang susceptible host. Nag-lecture pala ako. Dahil sa mga tinuro ni Ma'am kanina, madali nang magkahawahan. Kami pa namang friends, okay lang if sa same straw kami uminom. Just make punas and everything.

At sa huli kanina, sabi ni Ma'am Charity, "Malamang sa klaseng ito, matututo kayong maging maselan sa lahat ng bagay. Magiging maarte kayo sa katawan dahil ayaw mong magkasakit. Na nag-iingat ka lang." Kaya if ever may nanghiram sa iyo ng kung ano pa man, sabihin mo lang na ayaw niyong magkasakit at nagsisiguro lang kayo.

Malaking tulong ang Microbiology sa akin ngayon, and I guess, I'm gonna love this subject. Kahit puro bacteria, virus and parasitic intestinal worms ito. =)
